LET'S SCRAP CARD SKETCH 3-21-12

...herewith this week's card sketch at LET'S SCRAP...
sketch# 3-21-12

And herewith my take on this sketch:

This is also my very first Tilda card... :-D
I have been practicing my "colouring" for weeks...LOL!
As I am more of a minimalist scrapper, I have difficulty with the "real" Tilda look where you add layer upon layer of paper and many more flowers...maybe one day I'll get it right... :-/
But seeing that there is no right and wrong when it comes to card making and scrapping,
this will have to do..... ;-)
I also used Flower Soft on this card...for the very first time...
{Thank you Donsie, from Scrapbook Studio, for all your guidance...:-)}

Products used:
Magnolia: Tilda stamp
Paper: Bazzill Basics, AC cardstock, Crate Paper
Quickutz Dies: Nesting Doily Lace, Flourish, Scallop border
Other: Kaisercraft Pearls, Flowers {unknown}, Tim Holtz Distress Inks

...happy scrapping...

Projects and pages for Let's Scrap

Herewith the layout that I submitted to Let's Scrap for the DT call....

And this is the sketch from Let's Scrap that I had to work with...such a versatile sketch!

I used the photo sizes and the same placement of photos. And changed the placement of the title slightly to fit my theme and style of scrapbooking.
I added in some bling and inkables from Prima.
The font for Shamwari: Quickutz - Diesel Classic Complete Alphabet.
RelaxBreath: Cut with Silhouette Digital Cutter

Once a month Let's Scrap gives a cards sketch and this is my take on the card sketch for December:
