Let's Scrap sketch 2-22-12

The Let's Scrap sketch for this week:
SKETCH 2-22-12

herewith my take on the sketch:

I am so glad that I finally scrapped these photos!
The pics were taken at the Port Elizabeth Dance Festival in 2010.
I had to really adjust the saturation on the "face" pic. Her make-up made her look like a halloween pumpkin... sooooooo orange...LOL! But with all the make-up they look so "different".... all the pics look funny to me.... :-/
When I saw all the hearts on the sketch I thought
that this is so NOT me...but I love how the layout came together..

Papers used:
BoBunny & AC Cardstock
Doodlebug: Braddies {strawberries}
Border punch: Fiskars
Quickutz dies: Nesting hearts, Abigail font, Rollerskate font
Other: Bling and thread

Hop over to LET'S SCRAP to see all the other layouts by the Let's Scrap DT.
You will surely find inspiration there :-)

Remember that there are very nice goodies up for grabs...
just upload your layout to the Let's Scrap Gallery.
{...you HAVE TO use the sketch above as inspiration...}

Projects and pages for Let's Scrap

Herewith the layout that I submitted to Let's Scrap for the DT call....

And this is the sketch from Let's Scrap that I had to work with...such a versatile sketch!

I used the photo sizes and the same placement of photos. And changed the placement of the title slightly to fit my theme and style of scrapbooking.
I added in some bling and inkables from Prima.
The font for Shamwari: Quickutz - Diesel Classic Complete Alphabet.
RelaxBreath: Cut with Silhouette Digital Cutter
